ABOUT ME
I am a Freelance Fine Artist who graduated from Newcastle University in 2020.
My practice is focused on 'The Underground Landscape'. I work primarily in printmaking, and photography. I utilise multiple mediums to create an encompassed experience of the underground landscape, these include print, photography, drawing, sculpture, text and installation.
I documented the group experience of exploring these underground worlds, mainly using black and white film to create a pictorialist atmosphere. This is created due to the limited lighting and moisture in the cave creating a cloudy and shadowed world.
I have also been keen on incorporating bookmaking into my practice as it is a unique way of viewing art and prints, also the multiples and series of images together create their own narrative.
The uncanny has been important to my practice as I hope my work is unsettling and makes the viewer look deeper.

2020 GRADUATE
My artistic practice is based in photography and printmaking exploring the ‘Underground Landscape’. In these difficult circumstances I have returned to other creative interests including crafts and bookmaking. I have launched an Etsy shop titled ‘Black Cat Books Crafts’, where I am selling handmade sketchbooks and Christmas Crafts.
I specialise in Coptic bound books with clothbound covers, as artist’s books and sketchbooks. This style of book is ideal as a sketchbook due to its ability to open out flat for sketching. My recent books upcycle vintage postcards into practical sketchbook/notebooks, each of which is a unique product.
